Sophia Tucker, Kate Smith, Mae West are names that are most frequently associated with Ruth Crews, but when seeing Ms. Crews in performance you realize that she is an entity unto herself. In 1973, she became Rosie O'Grady's Red Hot Mama in Orlando, Florida for the next 25 years.

Ruth has traveled extensively with Rosie O'Grady's Goodtime Jazz Band. She has performed at jazz festivals all over the United States, most notably performing 10 years at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in California. She and the band have also toured Europe on several occasions as well as appearing at several major international jazz festivals. Ruth Crews is a singular personality unto herself, with a compelling warmth and engaging sense of humor that illuminates her every moment on stage. Whether it's Blues, Ballads, or Belting like you've never heard a song before, when Ruth Crews sings a song it's been sung! Take some essence of Crews, mix with beer and/or alcohol. and you have an Instant Camaraderie! All in all, she's a pretty potent blend.

Scott headlines regularly on Royal Caribbean’s Star Roster, as well as Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Atlantic City.
